Time in Life

We are driven by  time, the compulsions of time.  Even, we have a subconscious  feeling that  if we are not doing  anything  , then we are wasting time. Unknowingly ,  we have become the prisoners of time .  And losing our free  existence. It’s a great illusion that not to be doing anything is to be wasting time. But, necessarily not true.
Fact is that : Can we really sit awhile without doing anything? We think, our limbs twitch, our emotions  churn and some activity goes on. So, we are driven. And that is how they say the moment you born you start marching towards the death.  If we drive , not driven then you no longer care for death or for the passage of time.
But, how ?
Within ourselves , at the core of our being   we can feel something eternal, something that is not touched by time. We need to step back, have the faith that that eternal something is at the core of our heart which is not subjected to the flow of time. And we station ourselves behind the flow of life. Naturally, it begins with imagination. And imagination is God-given faculty to actualize states which are not real today; through imagination we get a hold over the process of actualization . The process of stepping back gradually make a constant contact and we can get rid of this psychological wear and tear of being driven by time.
Not to be doing anything is definitely Something.

With in Life of Pie

Two officials from the Japanese Ministry of Transport speak to Pi to ascertain why the ship sank. When they do not believe his story, he tells an alternative story of human brutality, in which Pi was adrift on a lifeboat with his mother, a sailor with a broken leg, and the ship's cook, who had verbally mistreated Pi's mother before the ship sunk. The cook kills the sailor and Pi's mother to use as bait and food. Pi, in turn, kills the cook. Parallels to Pi's first story lead the Japanese officials to believe that the orangutan represents his mother, the zebra represents the sailor, the hyena represents the cook, and Pi is Richard Parker (the tiger).
After giving all the relevant information, Pi asks which of the two stories they prefer. Since the officials cannot prove which story is true and neither is relevant to the reasons behind the shipwreck, they choose the story with the animals. Pi thanks them and says, "and so it goes with God."

Today i went through the story in Wikipedia.
It's a novel.
What I got  "   You know Da, in early stages of life, PI used to adopt many religions and practiced them and tried to know the very detail. One thing he used to do is "whenever he learns anything he used to Thank Vishnu and his love for him increases." One of the best part is that "while he was child, his search for Vishnu was spontaneous and in later part he learned other school of thoughts and religions .     He also told "Animals have souls and I have seen in their eyes".  It is the same Richard Parker, not other animals who survived there with him.    Later on he  told two stories. I was also confused when at last he tells that "and so it goes with God".

Look at my little and modified prospective about this matter-------
When a soul comes to earth and it is the faith which keeps it saying that "God is there and I believe", But, search goes on and he discovers the various methods adopted by worldly people about God and how and why they believe. They will tell you stories and various teachings  ,  For what???   To know God and to follow him.     Later on when PI grows , he became sensitive to  food habits and nature.  So, also the journey of Soul.  When the soul wanted to taste the Whole Divine or Ananta  and searches him  desperately and agrees for challenge,   then his own circumstances put him in such a mode of life where he is alone  and in the midst of sea.   Here, his father had to go to Canada.   But, he finds himself in sea with some animals and afterwards they killed themselves and only Richard remains with whom he tasted the game of soul in his childhood.
Sea, the symbol of vast consciousness .  Now the little soul with his only single instrument of faith is in this vast horrible drama of world.  That is to with the tiger, nothing but, it is the instrument which always used as a tool to measure our own faith. In later story PI compares himself with the Tiger. Tiger is darker side of our nature. The soul in man stays and makes a journey in this vast Life  with that darker, but the most powerful and wonderful creation of Divine.  It is this Tiger(our dark, but powerful nature) which gives and strengthens the faith .  The soul in man , tries to see the Divine in this darker side, then only it helps us in Sea. Not, direct help, but indirectly that presence gives strength.

In the sea it got many experiences, both helped each other and survived.  Pi used to give necessary water and fish to him. In return, tiger used to give him strength and a company in the all alone sea .  It signs that" tiger used to give the strength to fight till end and with a hope to reach somewhere."

He never lost the hope. So, also our soul.
this is one aspect.
Look at another-----
"When he asks to choose between the two stories,   they choose the story with animals.  because our mind "believes that is unbelievable"  and we have created very fantastic unrealistic stories about God.  Not by direct faith. Even if you have an unusual experience, people won't believe.  Only when you tell a realistic story, then they believe the unrealistic as real(in true that may be real).  So also it goes with this classifications of Religion.

here, we(humanity) are "japanese officials"
our life experience or soul  is  "Pi"
the whole story is about faith ,  if you faith a tiger it can save you, if you faith yourself you can survive, if you have faith in Divine, it can save you.  BUT, when Pi says "SO,it goes with God" means that   " we  strongly believe only those aspects of Religion in which there is some fantasy or miraculous activity is there and people also say only those things"     But,in fact those are true.   At first we don't believe, but after comparison we again believe the same thing.

One thing which is unavoidable for the Soul is "love for Vishnu"  .
Pi still loves Vishnu,(the all cosmic powerful one)  which  was with him in the form of moon ,  sea,  fishes,  island,  carnivorous plants, Richard parker, life boat    and   Pi himself"

It is the Pi,  form of Vishnu   when tries to finds his own reality in total in this human world, it meets his various form in various religions and   each making one form of GOD. And after all,   Mr.Pi(our little Vishnu )  is happy with his Laxmi and children and Smiles with his ever smiling   critical smile.
